Su Vida
(Gary, EE UU, 1958) Cantante estadounidense de pop, máxima estrella del pop de los años ochenta y noventa. Excelente bailarín, dotado de un atractivo indudable para sus incontables seguidores en todo el mundo, Michael Jackon ha demostrado también un talento especial para los negocios relacionados con el mundo de la música y el espectáculo. Su vida privada es constante fuente de noticias -no siempre positivas- reflejadas con profusión de titulares por las revistas y demás publicaciones de información general.
Hermano de la también estrella del pop Janet Jackson y de la cantante LaToyah, Michael Jackson fue durante varios años el cantante principal de los Jackson Five, grupo familiar del que, en uno u otro momento, formaron parte todos los hijos varones de la familia Jackson.
Michael Jackson comenzó su carrera en solitario en 1971, con Got To Be There, su primer trabajo; llegó en 1972 al Top 10 británico y al número uno en su país, esto último con el single Ben. Editó un par de álbumes más hasta 1975, aunque su verdadera consagración como estrella se produjo después de intervenir en la película musical El Mago De Oz. Aunque la película no fue un gran éxito de taquilla, su director musical, Quincy Jones, fue el artífice que impulsó a Michael hasta el lugar en el que se encuentra en la actualidad.
La importancia del respaldo de Quincy Jones se pone en evidencia con los resultados del álbum Off The Wall, de 1979, que daría al nuevo ídolo del Pop la nada despreciable cantidad de cinco singles de éxito consecutivos, con temas como Rock with you o Don´t stop (till you get enough).
Estos resultados son sólo el anticipo de lo que vendría después en la carrera de Michael, puesto que su siguiente álbum, Thriller (1982), resultó ser el álbum más vendido de la historia de la música, con seis de sus nueve temas aupados en las listas como sencillos, tanto americanas como británicas, en menor medida; aunque allí lograría más fama con dos temas cantados con Paul McCartney, The girl is mine, en 1982, y Say Say Say, en 1983.
oco antes Michael Jackson había participado en la gira final de los Jacksons en 1985, esponsorizada ya por una importante compañía de refrescos, para regresar después con un nuevo álbum, Bad (1987), de casi idéntico éxito comercial que su anterior disco. Publicó en 1988 su autobiografía, que fue acompañada de un film protagonizado por la estrella.
Ya en los años noventa, se edita Dangerous, en 1991, junto con una gran gira internacional, como en anteriores ocasiones, pero poco después estalla un escándalo por supuestas inclinaciones pederastas, que lo llevan a la suspensión de algunos conciertos y a un retiro del que sólo sale para anunciar su matrimonio con Lisa Marie Presley, hija de Elvis Presley, unión que duraría hasta principios de 1996.
En noviembre de este mismo año, Michael Jackson volvió a contraer matrimonico con Debbie Rowe, una enfermera que conoció 15 años atrás, y con la que tuvo un hijo. Antes, a mediados de junio de 1995, Michael edita su doble CD History, recopilación de sus grandes éxitos más algunas canciones inéditos, con una campaña publicitaria sin precedentes. En agosto, el ídolo participa en una sesión de Internet, respondiendo, por espacio de una hora, a las preguntas de todos aquellos que tuvieron la posibilidad de acceder a él a través del servicio.
Después de seis años de silencio, el sello discográfico Sony Music anunció para el otoño de 2001 el lanzamiento mundial de Invencible, el nuevo trabajo del autoproclamado rey del Pop. Dos años después, Michael Jackson volvió a protagonizar un escandaloso episodio mediático, cuando la policía de Santa Bárbara emitió una orden de busca y captura contra el cantante por un presunto delito de abusos sexuales a menores. Michael Jackson se entregó a las autoridades el 20 de noviembre de 2003 y, pese a la gravedad de los cargos, quedó en libertad provisional después de pagar una fianza de tres millones de dólares. Pero su calvario no terminó ahí, pues en la primavera de 2004 volvió a ser acusado formalmente de abuso de menores, por lo que tuvo que volver de nuevo a los tribunales.

Murió Michael Jackson, ícono del pop
Sufrió un paro cardíaco en su casa de Los Angeles y lo trasladaron de urgencia a un hospital. Cuestionado por sus excentricidades, en 2005 fue absuelto en un juicio por abuso de menores.
La música pop llora a su principal ícono. A los 50 años murió el cantante Michael Jackson, tras sufrir un ataque cardíaco en su casa de Los Angeles y ser trasladado de urgencia a un hospital local, donde no pudo ser reanimado.
Según reportaron medios locales, Jackson llegó sin respiración al hospital de la Universidad de California (UCLA), tras ser asistido por un equipo de paramédicos del cuerpo de bomberos.
Hasta el lugar se acercaron de inmediato familiares, así como cientos de fanáticos. En simultáneo, un equipo de policías y guardaespaldas formó un cordón para bloquear el acceso a fotógrafos y seguidores.

Personalmente me siento triste por que lo admiraba mucho por todo lo que hizo, hasta esta en el libro de record guiness por vender mas de 750 millones de discos, y aunque lo quisieron incriminar solo para sacarle plata y derribarlo, yo pienso que nunca nadie va a tener tantos logros como el.. al menos lo veremos en el nuevo orden.. junto con todos los grandes
